Three Types of Appetite Suppressant Foods
According to health expert Mike Adams, there is no remedy that can turn off the feeling of hunger in an instant. However, all is not lost as there are appetite suppressant foods that can help curb your appetite. Although they cannot turn off your appetite completely, they can alleviate the feeling of hunger and make it bearable. Your first option is to drink lots of water. An 8-ounce glass of water can work wonders for you if you start to feel hungry. Try this out and you will notice that after 10 minutes of drinking, you will start to feel fuller. However, if plain water will not do the trick for you then you can substitute a vegetable broth for it. This is readily available in any health food store or grocery store.
The next type of appetite control food that you should try out is green vegetables. Cabbage, lettuce, celery and bokchoy should be on top of your list. Green and leafy vegetables are often referred to as ‘free foods’ as they do not contain a significant number of calories. So even if you pig-out on them, you will not gain any extra weight at all. In addition, they take calories from your body to digest them. This is the reason why they make very good appetite suppressants. Just make sure that you only add a low-calorie dressing and avoid MSG at all costs.
The third type of food sounds more delicious and friendly to your palette. Many people call it the instant banana pudding. This is home-made so it’s guaranteed to be 100 percent healthy. All you need to do is to add a quart of soy milk and a few scoops of unsweetened banana-flavored soy protein powder into a blender. After blending, you will have a ready-to-drink shake that is both guilt-free and delicious. And since you used soy milk for this concoction, this makes it a good example of foods with protein as well. This will fill you up fast and it is perfect for a mid-night snack.
